Particle measurement of compressed air acc. Iso 8573-1

There are several reasons why one should measure the particle content in compressed air. On the one hand it can affect the performance and lifespan of equipment that uses compressed air, on the other hand it can damage products manufactured using compressed air or it can damage the health of users who inhale it. Measurements of the particulate content of compressed air can help identify and correct air quality problems.

In the table below you can see which limit values need to be met in order for the compressed air to achieve a specific air quality. The measured values are dew point, oil & particle content.

Kompauto supplies all the instruments necessary to ensure that ISO 8573-1 is maintained regarding dew point, oil- and particle content. These instruments are available for delivery both as a fixed installation for permanent measurement or as portable instruments for temporary measurements.

For a manufacturing industry, it is common to have a permanently installed measuring station, SUTO iTEC modell S601, on the main line from the compressor center which ensures that compressors, compressed air dryers and filters work satisfactorily. At the same time, you often have a portable unit, modell S600, for temporary measurements at various points in the compressed air network and at your consumer points.

Kompauto supplies instruments for complete optimization of compressed air networks, ranging from flow measurement at the compressor station to consumer points. We offer handheld leak detectors, fixed and portable dew point meters, permanent and portable complete analysis instruments for dew point, oil, and particle content according to ISO 8573-1.
